Jamie has been working at STTA since 2021 to focus on teaching children and adults who are new to the game. He started tennis at Martin Dene LTC in 2002 as a junior player and loved watching Agassi and Hewitt in the Grand Slams. After Covid19, he wanted to return to Martin Dene LTC to work with Sophia (they trained together from 2003-2006) and to make a full circle in tennis, just as Sophia did! Jamie teaches the fundamentals of tennis and loves working with different characters and seeing them

Coach Accreditation is the LTA’s professional membership scheme for coaches. Being accredited ensures that a coach is qualified, insured and meets safe-to-practice standards, such as first aid and safeguarding training. An Accredited+ coach also commits to a minimum of 15 hours of professional development training each year.
Qualifications range from 1 to 5 and indicate the level of formally-assessed training a coach has completed. Coaches begin the LTA Qualification pathway at LTA Assistant (Level 1) and are able to train up to Master Coach (Level 5), the highest available LTA qualification. When choosing a coach we recommend taking into account qualifications, experience and ongoing CPD training, which can be seen in their 'Recently completed training courses' tab.
All coaches displayed on this tool are committed to delivering tennis to people of all backgrounds including disability, faith, gender identity, race, sex and sexual orientation.
